I realize I've not been terribly articulate lately or attentive for that matter. But my garden is dying, my carpets need vacuuming, my laundry needs putting away...so something has to give and it's usually THIS.

Anyway, I thought this guy was pretty insightful regarding Christians' relationship to Obama, especially since I'd be classified as a "world view" Christian.

Here's the link.

That's just sad! And the reason why the news makes me so depressed and angry.

And... don't feel bad about neglecting the blog. You'll be back when you can.

I don't know whether to throw up or cry out in despair at the state of Evangelicism (sp?) in America. I too am a "world-view Christian" as defined by the author of this article and what it seems that meand is that I think through the rhetoric while "evangelicals" let their feelings lead them through the logic or lack thereof.

What it boils down to is a profound Biblical illiteracy in Christian Amercia. The evangelicals described in this article don't read their Bible that often and they don't always agree with it. They do not choose to say, "This is God's word and since He is the Sovereign Creator of the Universe I submit to His will, His standards, His truth." They don't beleive in absolute truth. They are a Post-Modern Christian tainted by relativist thinking. It's sickening. It's sickening to think that those who call themselves Christian can be so easily manipulated by a presidential campaign and the media.

Maybe throwing up is the answer.

Boy, I feel a little manipulated! But I am gleeful that I am in the minority 7%!
