Sunday is an exhausting day for the pastor, especially if he's the only staff member. Sometimes he must do Sunday School, music, and preaching. It's not a day of rest most weeks! So how do you encourage your man when he's physically, emotionally, and spiritually spent?

Pepperoni & Jalepeno pizza and a cold beer. My hubby does church, sunday school and confirmation. Before June, he also traveled 200 miles to serve two other churches. We feel like we're on vacation after 7 years of THAT!

Let's see - I make him lay down for a bit in the afternoon (between church and youth group), let him pick what we eat for dinner, and let him watch all the baseball and football he wants without nagging him to take out the trash! :)

I let him veg on the computer! And don't complain about it. ;-)

We're all whacked out here because we share a church with another (completely different) church congregation, so we meet on Saturday nights. That has a raft of challenges all on its own.
I do the same things, though - mostly give my sweetie recharge time, whatever that looks like. Usually just being quiet, sometimes on the computer, sometimes with a movie, sometimes he goes fishing. He is an introvert, so he's usually peopled out on Sunday. So we make sure he has 'alone' time.
