So I'm sitting at the table with my son trying some new things: He has a glass of milk, some music in the background. I let him pick which subjects to do first. He has chosen his consequences: For not being ready and dressed by 9:30 his consequence was no playtime with friends after school, for not working hard at school, no video games...We'll see how it goes!

It sounds like your doing great! Consequences for actions, and freedoms for responsibilities. Your not doing what's easy, but your doing what's best - keep up the good work mom!

Thanks, girl! An encouraging word is always wonderful! It went well today overall. He worked hard, was ready on time. He's had lots of physical activity today which is one of the most important things about him. Being a Concrete Random child the worst ever is to be bored!

Overall, gals, it was an good day. We got our school done, he was a great helper cleaning the house for grandma and grandpa's visit this afternoon. I'm hoping today goes alright, though, dad let them stay up until almost 10 o'clock reading in their beds last night! (I used to do that secretly with a flashlight when i was a kid!) I
